Several of the members of the rat family are used as fodder for the newbies so that they can gain ranks quickly. But, from a recent Colleseum experience, I learned that some of these so-called wimps can easily down a exile. So, so you don't end up losing money for a lot of people like I did, here's the Guide to Cooking Rat!

My Notes on the Creature |
Rat |
Easy enough to kill. These make perfect for practice for newbies. I wouldn't recommend older exiles to spend much time fightingn rats, because of a lack of experience gained from rats. For older exiles, I'd suggest hunting in the hive, and for the extremely brave/ignorant, I'd suggest the noids or Orga Camp. |
Vermine |
These are the rat's step-brothers. They can take a couple of swings with a club to kill, but if you're fortunite enough to have a axe, you can just cut through these. They do give more exp than the rats, but not much. |
Large Vermine |
Now, if the vermine were the rat's step-brothers, this is the rat's parents! Perfect for the older exile who needs some ranks, because they are tough. They can take at least six or seven club blows, I wasn't counting. I was killed in the process of taking the sketch by one of these. TIP: Be careful when hunting these. They sometimes like to travel in groups, and can overswarm a exile. |
Snow Vermine |
About as tough as a normal Vermine. Inhabits C&S, and the Glacier. About all I can say about them. |
Death Vermine |
Ooh, scary. Nasty sonofa's. Likes to hide out in the castle & often shows up in the Tree Giant Breeding Grounds. Just be careful. |
Dark Vermine |
Crap! The Greymyr of Vermine. This thing tears through exiles. |
Giant Vermine |
See Large Vermine, but tougher. |
